My name is Joseph Whitehouse and I was born on the Isle of Wight, where I lived until I left for Italia Conti in 1997. I studied for 3 years at Conti’s, and upon graduating I received a B.A. (hons) in Acting.

At Conti’s I learnt about the art of acting, including technique and voice production. I also studied Dance and Singing, although I would class myself as an Actor/Singer with movement!

My first professional job, after leaving Italia Conti, was with Quantum Theatre for Science - T.I.E. I enjoyed it so much that I went back twice more, it was amazing seeing the children’s fascination, and wonder at the show!

I have now being acting professionally for 11 years and I still find it totally captivating!

As well as participating in theatre and independent films, I absolutely love performing in pantomime, specialising in character roles!

And as for straight theatre, I find nothing more satisfying than creating a new persona within the boundaries of the character.
